Chuck Haselwood's journey from a sectarian farm in Ellensburg to a prominent businessman and community leader in Bremerton is a testimony to his perseverance and business spirit. Birthed in 1923, Chuck's tale began with a strong choice to leave the farming life and hitchhike to Bremerton, where he began his career operating at a gas terminal. His service in World War II under General Patton only sharpened his drive, leading him to get in the previously owned vehicle company after returning home. Partnering with Danny Jones, Chuck launched his own gasoline station and marketed cars, at some point forming a lasting collaboration with Bud Higgs to develop Chuck & Buds-- an automobile dealership that focused on client service, supplying service warranties unprecedented at the time.

Chuck's ruthless drive for advancement led him to expand his company beyond utilized automobiles. Chuck's legacy lives on not simply in the automobiles he sold, yet in his deep dedication to his area, which continues to flourish in Kitsap Region today.
